Conclusion H
I have found in typical music videos that there are 2 main types of ways of making a music video. One why of making a video is the narrative way, this is where the video is telling a story of some sort while the music is playing. The other way of doing it is by showing band life and backstage footage to the song and seeing what the band do in their spare time. Narratives are normally used in the pop genre and the band life is more placed in the rock genre. I have also come to the conclusion that the rock genre is more about their actual life style rather than trying to tell a story in a music video and vice versa for Pop genre's. Also pop music videos seem to use a lot more effects and try to make their video seem as big and flashy as possible whereas the rock genre tends to be more raw footage and more authentic.

Try to give examples where possible, referring to actual videos that are 'big and flashy' and others which are more authentic.
