Story board H

This is the storyboard we will be using for our music video

Health and safety H, B, G

For the filming so far we had to think about this because we were filming in castle ruins above ground level after it had been raining.

Things that could have gone wrong :

  • castle walls could fall apart because they may be unstable
  • falling objects
  • we could have slipped as to certain bits the steps were broken or non-existatant
  • we could of go pneumonia from the cold/wet weather
other things that could of gone wrong
  • guitar breaks/scratched when carrying it up the narrow staircases and up walls
  • camera could of got wet
  • tripod could of slipped

Location shots B

The first location we went to was Coity Castle this was a good location because of the dynamics of the castle and he mood it gave off when we were there. It also gave off the effect of both sorrow and romance, this is because the crumbled castle walls gives off the effect that time has past and that the decay of the walls could be like the decay of a persons life. Also the atmosphere of the castle gives a quite romantic and reminiscing feel. Coity was the perfect place for all this just because of the atmosphere of the location.

Remembering Sunday Lyrics H,B,G

I searched for the meaning of the lyrics and this is what i found. This is a meaning from one persons perspective but it makes a lot of sense due to the actual lyrics and genre of the song.

He woke up from dreaming and put on his shoes
Starting making his way past 2 in the morning
He hasn't been sober for days (obviously he's sad)

Leaning now into the breeze
Remembering Sunday, he falls to his knees
They had breakfast together
But two eggs don't last
Like the feeling of what he needs

Now this place seems familiar to him
She pulled on his hand with a devilish grin
She led him upstairs, she led him upstairs
Left him dying to get in (she locked herself in a room and killed herself i think and that guy wants to get in to stop her)

Forgive me, I'm trying to find
My calling, I'm calling at night
I don't mean to be a bother,
But have you seen this girl?
She's been running through my dreams
And it's driving me crazy, it seems
I'm gonna to ask her to marry me (alex sings that he is dreaming about that girl and he wants to marry her)

Even though she doesn't believe in love,
He's determined to call her bluff
Who could deny these butterflies?
They're filling his gut

Waking the neighbors, unfamiliar faces
He pleads though he tries
But he's only denied
Now he's dying to get inside

Forgive me, I'm trying to find
My calling, I'm calling at night
I don't mean to be a bother,
But have you seen this girl?
She's been running through my dreams
And it's driving me crazy, it seems
I'm going to ask her to marry me (same as above)

The neighbors said she moved away
Funny how it rained all day
I didn't think much of it then
But it's starting to all make sense (he's finally realizong that she's gone and not coming back)
Oh, I can see now that all of these clouds
Are following me in my desperate endeavor
To find my whoever, whoever she may be (the clouds are following him because the girl is in them and and she is following him)

[Juliet Simms:]
I'm not coming back (cause she's dead)
I've done something so terrible (she killed herself)
I'm terrified to speak (she doesn't want to admit it)
But you'd expect that from me
I'm mixed up, I'll be blunt, now the rain is just
I'm washing you out of my hair and out of my mind
Keeping an eye on the world,
From so many thousands of feet off the ground, I'm over you now
I'm at home in the clouds, and towering over your head (she's in the clouds obviously)

[Alex Gaskarth:]
"Well I guess I'll go home now...
I guess I'll go home now...
I guess I'll go home now...
I guess I'll go home" (he now realizes that he'll never see her)

Acoustic Genre H

Acoustic music comprises music that solely or primarily uses instruments which produce sound through entirely acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means. The retronym "acoustic music" appeared after the advent of electric instruments, such as the electric guitarelectric violinelectric organ and synthesiser.

Performers of acoustic music often increase the volume of their output using electronic amplifiers. However, these amplification devices remain separate from the amplified instrument and reproduce its natural sound accurately. Often a microphone is placed in front of an acoustic instrument which is then wired up to an amplifier.

Kerrang TV H,B

Kerrang! TV is a digital television station owned by Box Television, which is loosely connected to the magazine, Kerrang!. As of 2005, all of its programme content is music videos, the majority of which is open scheduled, for text requests from their playlist.
The TV station's playlist is mainly nu metal and pop punk/skate punk, although with some unusual exceptions. Certain bands, such as Tenacious D and Limp Bizkit get higher than average play rates, due to higher rates of text requests. Themed 30 minute segments often cover artists who are on the playlist, with large numbers of videos, most noticeably Green DayPanic! at the DiscoParamore, All Time Low and You Me at Six. There are also some unusual plays, such as Beastie Boys and Bloodhound Gang. Rap artist Eminem has many of his videos played on Kerrang, which has caused controversy among long-time fans. This has also led to criticism of racism on the part of Kerrang; because black musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, despite being considered an historically vital rock musician, does not receive airplay, while white rappers such as Beastie Boys and Eminem do.

Pop Punk H

Pop punk is a genre that blends the loud, fast-paced and sometimes sloppy sound of Punk Rock with the catchy hooks and upbeat nature of Pop music. Lyrically, most pop punk bands tend to deal with more lighthearted subjects, such as having fun, partying, love and sex, and pop culture, as opposed to the more serious and rebellious subject matter of their punk rock counterparts.

Ramones, Buzzcocks, and The Adicts were some of the earliest bands to find success in discarding the raw and aggressive nature of pure punk rock in favor of a more accessible sound. The genre exploded in the 1990s and early 2000s, with bands like The Offspring, Green Day, and Blink-182 gaining enormous mainstream success. Since its explosion, though, some bands have sought to expand the ground that the genre covers, with artists such as AFI, My Chemical Romance, and The Used moving pop punk into darker territories by adding heavy Post-Hardcore and Emo (usually Emo-Pop) influences into their sound. Because of the loud nature of the music and its influence from pop, some pop punk bands have a tendency to shift into Power Pop territory as well.
